TODAY. I AM BECOME EPIC.
i get the horrible feeling this is gonna be a special day or something, and worrying that tomorrow im gonna wake up and be the other, embarrassed, overthinking, lonely geek i usually am instead of this nerd with swagger (i used to HATE that word.. granted i hate the context people use it in now but i mean the proper meaning, cocky, arrogant ect)

finally posting this because… hey.. i dont connect my camera to my laptop on a daily basis.. despite the fact i really should.
so yeah, last friday i took a trek about 2 hours east of my west coast location to the town of Kendal to see Toby Hadoke (seen above with me.. and my fourth doctor sonic screwdriver) perform his one man show “Moths Ate My Doctor Who Scarf” (which was.. to be frank.. fucking brilliant), after which he signed my copy of the book he co-authored with new series writer Rob Shearman (Dalek) about their reviews and opinions of classic doctor who episode by episode.
I had meant for a while to see “Moths” but the performances were always usually way too far away, however after hearing from a few podcasts that Toby would soon be resting the show for a new one and, in the same day, finding out in DWM 444 that “Moths” would be coming to Kendal as one of only 3 dates this year. i HAD to go.
The show was truly wonderful, hilarious to non fans in the way it was structured and life experience, yet utterly fantastic AND hilarious to fans in the way of references and the feeling that you know exactly the experiences he talks about.. because you’ve been there in similar situations for some of them.. because you share that one common interest that binds all doctor who fans together(yes.. daleks :P). i have to say I’ve never had such a surreal experience as watching a documentary on a DVD and then having a facebook friend request from that person a mere 2 hours after seeing them in the flesh.
So thank you Toby. and i dont care what my friends may mutter or say when i post this picture to facebook. because im a doctor who fan (a straight one too.. which as toby correctly pointed out is as rare as shops selling ginger hair dye :P *sorry palmer, buddy :P*) and if they dont like it.. sod them. i dont reprimand them for enjoying things if they dont impinge on me.. and if you dont like my who comments or status’ then feel free to block, unfriend, unfollow ect

Why do Harry Potter fans and Hunger Games fans, etc, bash on it so much? It’s a different genre, so it’s not like it’s competing with HP. That would be a bit different.
It’s the haters of the saga that make Twilight fans embarassed to be Twilight fans. And the books are so much better than the movies. And give it a chance before you hate and call it gay. It’s not gay.
We all have different intrests, deal with it and accept me for who I am instead of judging me for what I like.
Oh, and for the record, I am a Hunger Games fan too.
